On the occasion of marking the 25th anniversary of the battle of Koshare, the Assembly of Kosovo is holding a solemn session, in which the 114 fallen martyrs were remembered.

The president of the country, Vjosa Osmani, said that the battle of Koshare is one of the most successful battles of the war of the Kosovo Liberation Army against the forces of the genocidal regime of Serbia.

She emphasized that courage, sacrifice and determination are summed up in the battle of Koshare, as well as in many other chapters of the history of our war.

Among other things, President Osmani said that the participation in our fight for freedom had no geographical limit for Albanians. She added that our emigrants and many fighters from Albania and other Albanian countries joined the ranks of the freedom wars.

Osmani considered the Battle of Koshare to be the largest military operation of the KLA, which was reorganized by many early activists of the national resistance, after what is known as the Battle of Loxha.

In the Battle of Koshare, 114 martyrs of the Nation fell, of whom some were decorated with the Hero of Kosovo Order.

International volunteers, foreign citizens from: Italy, France, etc. also participated in this battle.
