Osmani on the murder of the woman in Peja: This phenomenon is hurting our society
The President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, reacted after the murder of a woman by her husband in Peja.
The president said that this terrible phenomenon and femicide must be stopped once and for all and at all costs.
She called on the country's security and justice institutions to commit to stopping gender-based violence.
Osmani made these comments after participating in the "Thinking of you" initiative, within the International Forum on Women, Peace and Security.
The president said that this installation will be internationalized as it is the most artistic way to express pain, solidarity and above all to express the extraordinary power of the women of Kosovo.
The author of this art installation, Alketa Xhafa-Mripa, said that stories of survivors of sexual violence during the war are told through it.
