Osmani: Defense against hybrid attacks remains necessary
National stability is the foundation on which security, development and the future of the state are built. This was stated by the President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, at the conference on the topic “National Stability – Challenges and the Way Forward”.
Through this conference, which was organized by the Minister of Defense, the aim is to share best practices and cooperate in dealing with common challenges.
The Supreme Commander of the Kosovo Security Force, Osmani, stated that national stability is an obligation towards future generations.
According to her, in addition to strengthening security institutions, economic development and improving critical infrastructure are important elements for stability.
Osmani said that the actions of Kosovo institutions must be coordinated to face any kind of challenge.
“National sustainability is not just a theoretical concept, but it is the foundation on which security, development and our future as a state are built...At a time when security threats are more complex, from conventional and hybrid wars to cyber attacks, Kosovo must be ready for the challenges we face today and for those of the future. We need a security architecture that is innovative, flexible and prepared to face any scenario. Continued investment in armaments as well as in our military personnel and their well-being is vital, as is continued investment in other security institutions. In a world where hybrid threats are becoming increasingly sophisticated, economic sustainability is equally important, protection from hybrid attacks is also indispensable. Our country must invest in improving critical infrastructure, and a sustainable economy with an emphasis on energy security," emphasized President Osmani.
