Osmani and the Speaker of the Parliament of Iceland talk about deepening the bilateral cooperation

The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, after the meetings with the President and the Prime Minister of Iceland, was also received in the meeting by the President of the Assembly of Iceland, Birgir Ármannsson.

In the press release, it is announced that in a meeting with the Speaker of the Assembly Ármannsson, President Osmani thanked Iceland for its support to Kosovo, stressing the importance of it continuing even further in the international arena, reports KosovaPress.

"In this spirit, the president has expressed the commitment of Kosovo's institutions for deepening bilateral cooperation during the Icelandic presidency of the Council of Europe, emphasizing the importance of protecting common values, at this defining time for Europe," the press release states.

Osmani and Ármannsson also discussed the importance of inter-parliamentary cooperation.

"Furthermore, President Osmani also spoke about the latest developments in Kosovo. The President has said that the institutions of the Republic continue to be committed to the rule of law and the advancement of democracy, also evaluated in the latest international indices, where Kosovo has made extraordinary progress. President Osmani also emphasized that Kosovo continues to be committed to close cooperation and coordination with international allies to contribute to lasting peace and security", it is said in the press release.

It is known that Ármannsson thanked President Osmani for the visit and emphasized that Iceland is committed to further deepening the relations between our two peoples and countries.
