Only four laws in four months, the work of the Assembly is considered as inefficient
The Assembly of Kosovo is on the verge of ending the spring session. From August 6 next week, the MPs will go on a one-month break. Since the constitution of the eighth legislature on March 22, the MPs have approved only four laws, out of 26 that were in procedure. During their work, the MPs gathered 20 times in plenary sessions, five of them parliamentary debates and two interpellations. The dismissal of four public boards of independent institutions is also considered a special part of this session. Meanwhile, the non-fulfillment of the Government's legislative agenda, foreseen for the spring session, is criticized by the opposition, while members of the ruling party justify it.
Agnesa Haxhiu from the Kosovo Democratic Institute told KosovaPress, that in this session, the eighth legislature has been weaker than the previous one, even though there has been a political and health crisis.
