The Basic Court in Prishtina has decided on the request of the Basic Prosecution in Prishtina to impose a one-month house arrest for the defendant A.H., on suspicion of having committed the criminal offense of abuse in the exercise of official duty or public authority.

The court has assessed that house arrest is an adequate measure for the unhindered development in this criminal case, since there are circumstances that indicate the risk that if the defendant A.H. if free, can destroy, conceal, alter or falsify the evidence of the criminal offense by influencing witnesses, because other police officers are also involved in this criminal offense and this indicates a risk, because the defendant may impede the course of the criminal proceedings.
