Nora Gjakova, the pride of Kosovan sport, has written a new chapter in her extraordinary story – this time not with gold medals, but with international representation and influence, as reported KosovaPress.

An Olympic champion, world and European medalist, Nora is now officially a member of the Athletes' Commission of the International Judo Federation (IJF) – an elite body that shapes the future of this sport on a global level.

The IJF has recognized not only her sporting achievements but also her wisdom, dedication, and influence both on and off the tatami. Her new role is crucial: to be the voice of judokas worldwide, to advocate for fair policies, and to contribute to the development of judo with vision and integrity.

This is a historic step for Kosovo as well – for the first time, an athlete from our country becomes part of the decision-making in such a major international organization.
