The Minister of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation (MEST), Arbërie Nagavci says that currently it is not the time for strikes which have been announced by Teachers’ Union. According to her, the Government of Kosovo is working hard and strikes and protests are unnecessary due to student learning losses. The Minister of Education told KosovaPress that together with the teachers and The Union they should give their best to improve the results in education. On Saturday, the chairman of The Teachers’ Union, Rrahman Jashari, after taking the mandate for the third time as chairman of this union, announced protests for April 8 and then a strike after April 20. The Teachers’ Union is demanding that until the adoption of the Law on Wages, 100 euros be added to the salary of education workers.
