The Minister of Education, Arbërie Nagavci, on the occasion of the beginning of the new school year, visited the "Iliria" school in Prishtina.

After being welcomed by the teachers and students, the minister saw closely the learning process in the preschool class, where from this year learning has become mandatory for children from the ages of five to six. She also announced that more than 300,000 children are starting the new school year 2024/2025, adding that so far they have not received any complaints from the municipalities.

According to her, the process of starting the new school year is going well and that there are no reports or complaints about such a thing.

She also added that the process of subsidizing textbooks is continuing without any irregularities.

Speaking about the full-day classes in some schools in the capital, she wished it to be successful, while emphasizing that she had started such a thing in 2015 when she was the director of education in the capital.

Regarding today's protest of the students and professors of the "Xhevdet Doda" gymnasium in Prishtina, where they asked to hold classes in the old facility and not the mathematics gymnasium, Minister Nagavci asked that all parties be included in the discussions in this reorganization.

In addition to the "Iliria" school, during the day the minister also visited the "Elena Gjika" school in Prishtina. /KosovaPress/
