The Minister of Finance, Hekuran Murati, in a press conference after the Government meeting, said that Kosovo is trying to reach an agreement through dialogue in Brussels aimed at normalizing relations between Kosovo and Serbia.

This response of Murati comes after the statements of the US ambassador to Serbia, Christopher Hill, who said that Serbia will not be required to recognize the independence of Kosovo de jure in order to become a member of the European Union, since according to him, the Europeans are only looking for normalization.

Whereas, the European Union, after Ambassador Hill's statement, said that Serbia cannot become a member of the EU without the normalization of its relations with Kosovo.
