On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the Serbian genocide in Kosovo, a commemorative session was held in the Municipal Assembly of Rahovec. In this session, the war crimes and massacres caused by the Serbs during the war in Kosovo were remembered.

In this session, several survivors of the war were also present, who told their stories in a frightened voice.

The Mayor of Rahovec Municipality, Smajl Latifi, said that the citizens of Rahovec have experienced Serbian violence and repression, who committed crimes against humanity.

The assembly member of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo, Hasan Perboqi added that the Albanian people are still looking for delayed justice, where the liberators of Kosovo who brought freedom are unfairly facing unfair and rigged processes.

Meanwhile, the survivor of the Krusha e Madhe massacre in Rahovec, Selami Elshani told his story of how he survived the bullets and the fire that engulfed the room he was in.

Likewise, Selami Hoti, the representative of the council of missing persons and families in the Municipality of Rahovec, added that this date should be marked in the calendar of historical dates, for reasons that serve the state of Kosovo and Albania, to use and document all the crimes committed by the Serbs.

On January 15, 1999, 45 unarmed Albanians were barbarically killed and massacred in the village of Reçak.
