Municipalities are dissatisfied with the budget given to them by the Government

The Assembly of Kosovo has approved in principle the Kosovo budget of 3 billion and 212 million euros for 2023, where 660 million are dedicated to local government and municipalities, with an increase of about 100 million euros, from the 560 million euros that were in 2022. However, some of the leaders of the municipalities have expressed dissatisfaction with this division of the budget.

The Association of Municipalities of Kosovo initially complained about the draft budget law, where they said that in 2020 the municipalities received 21.7% of the budget funds from the Kosovo budget, in 2021, 22.1%, in 2022 this has dropped to 19.6, whereas in 2023, it will be 20.5%...
