More than 2,400 people have renounced their Kosovo citizenship

Over 2,000 people renounced their Kosovo citizenship from January to the end of July this year. This is done by those people who live in European Union countries where dual citizenship is not allowed. Meanwhile, the largest number of those who do not want the citizenship of our country are young people.

Every year in the Department for Citizenship, Asylum and Migration in the Ministry of Internal Affairs, up to 5,000 people renounce their Kosovo citizenship, but from January to July of this year, there was an increase in the number of people who have renounced their citizenship.
