The Kosovo Police has provided more details regarding the explosion of two hand grenades at the Kosovo Post office in Zvecan.

According to the Police, on April 1, 2025, around 00:20, unknown individuals threw two hand grenades at the Kosovo Post office in Zvecan.

"As a result of the explosion of one of the grenades, material damage occurred, but no injuries were reported. Relevant police units, upon arriving at the scene, noticed that there was still one unexploded grenade inside the building. In relation to this, the police units initially secured the area, and the residents were evacuated for a period until the specialized unit for handling explosive devices safely detonated the grenade in a controlled manner. The anti-terrorism unit is working intensively to identify the perpetrators of this explosion. The State Prosecutor has been notified, and the case is being initiated as 'Endangerment of Public Safety,'" the statement says, emphasizing that the Kosovo Police strongly condemns these dangerous actions and appeals to citizens to cooperate with the authorities to assist in identifying the perpetrators of this explosion.

"Any information that could assist the investigation can be reported to the Police numbers or through reliable reporting channels," the statement concludes.
