Three buses carrying citizens from Mitrovica departed today for Pristina to support the march “Justice, Not Politics,” in support of the KLA four – Hashim Thaçi, Kadri Veseli, Jakup Krasniqi, and Rexhep Selimi, KosovaPress reports.

Omer Ahmeti, a citizen from Mitrovica, told KosovaPress that the former leaders of the Kosovo Liberation Army are being unjustly held in The Hague.

“They are being held in The Hague without guilt. We are also protesting for the Independence of Kosovo. They, inshaAllah, are not as they are being portrayed badly; God willing, they will be released as soon as possible, because there has been no evidence against them, and as soon as possible, God willing, they will return to their homeland, to their country, to their families, and join us,” he said.

Meanwhile, Bejt Ferizi said that these proposals come from Serbia and not from the Court.

“We are going to Pristina in support of the KLA leaders, who are unfortunately being held unjustly in The Hague, to support them. These are proposals of Serbia; they are not proposals of the Court,” Ferizi declared.

Similar protests with the same aim were also held in Tirana, Skopje, and The Hague.

The trial process against the former leaders of the Kosovo Liberation Army — Hashim Thaçi, Kadri Veseli, Rexhep Selimi, and Jakup Krasniqi — is in its final stage. They are accused of war crimes and crimes against humanity, while the Specialist Prosecutor’s Office has requested 45 years of imprisonment for each of them.
