The Basic Prosecution in Gjilan, Department for Serious Crimes, has filed an indictment against the defendants G.J., I.Gj., B.Gj. and S.D., for misuse in a tender in the municipality of Ranillug.

According to a press release from the Basic Prosecution in Gjilan, it is stated that 'According to the indictment, since January 2018, in Ranillug, the above-mentioned defendants, as officials in the municipality of Ranillug, intentionally exceeded their competencies or did not fulfill their official duties, in such a way that in the tender entitled "Reconstruction and improvement of street lighting in the municipality of Ranillug for 2018", they have not fulfilled the obligations arising from the decision, not adhering to the pre-measurement and pre-calculation of this tender, so that by their inactions have damaged the municipal budget in the amount of € 8,307.00, in favor of an economic operator in Prishtina, accepting six (6) unfinished positions as completed positions, which are visually seen in some villages of the municipality of Ranillug, where in each village the numbers of positions are different, but the job description is the same, and after the technical acceptance, the municipality of Ranillug pays them as completed positions”...
