The Minister of Internal Affairs, Xhelal Sveçla received the Director of the NATO Advisory and Liaison Team (NALT), General Jörg Rüter, and his successor, General Joachim Hoppe. In this meeting, Minister Sveçla thanked General Jörg Rüter for the excellent cooperation in advancing and strengthening the capacities of security institutions, and wished him success in his further career, assuring that this cooperation will continue with General Joachim Hoppe. The security situation in Kosovo and the role of NALT in supporting institutions, with special emphasis on capacity building in the field of security, was also discussed in the meeting. At the end of the meeting, Minister Sveçla expressed his maximum commitment to coordinate and interact with our allies, to provide security for the whole country and our citizens, and to advance the aspirations of our state in Euro-Atlantic integration.
