The Minister of Defense, Armend Mehaj, wrote that as part of the preparations for the "Defender Europe 23" field exercise, the First Regiment of the Ground Forces is making the final preparations for the exercise.

Mehaj wrote on Facebook that Company B of the 1st Infantry Regiment has been carrying out combat patrols in night conditions for two weeks.

"The purpose of this exercise was to train the members for maneuvering and battle drills at night using night equipment (NVG)," he wrote.
