Hamdi Malushaj, senior official of the Chamber of Doing Business in Kosovo, at the same time manager of several companies operating in Kosovo and service provider to German companies in the field of energy, IT and other strategic sectors, stressed that European countries and especially Germany would be happy if Kosovo already had energy production capacity for export. Malushaj made these comments while Europe is already facing not only the energy crisis but also crisis in other areas due to unprovoked Russian aggression against Ukraine. Malushaj says the energy strategy contains positive elements. "This draft document has great advantages from other former strategies, for example it advances renewable energies, on the other hand the reconstruction of the Kosova-A power plant is foreseen and the capacity of coal is increased, but based more on the consumption of renewable energy according to opportunities that can challenge us in the future ", stressed Malushaj. According to Malushaj, Kosovo is very late because through energy Kosovo would develop a lot from the economic point of view and also this, according to him, would greatly affect the attraction of foreign investors. "The burden, or the biggest problem for businesses is energy, but the strategy must be looked at in more detail, because Kosovo must go along the way, and the strategy must give a chance to every citizen to be an energy producer if he wants to ", continued Malushaj. "If I were a minister or prime minister, I would have made the decision to build promising energy capacities a long time ago," Malushaj said with conviction, criticizing the negligence of almost all governments and what he calls lobbyists to the detriment of Kosovo. Malushaj says that only the former German Chancellor Merkel, did not deceive Kosovo in terms of energy, he also tells in detail what she said about the German investment for the reconstruction of Kosovo A power plants with zero pollution. "I am speaking from my life experience in leadership positions that I have had. I would announce a press conference at 10:00, at 08:00 I would had made the decision if there are procedures that the Prime Minister does not stop you. This decision has not been made, not because they did not know, not because they have not seen the energy problem, but many circles have been affected, say Kosovo anti-energy, do not say anti-Kosovo. Because the main word was the sabotage of Kosovo in the energy sector through Brussels, Washington, but we did not speak there, there was spoken Serbian, it was spoken English and on behalf of the environment, councils, all other staff except that we can not produce energy. I either would take them or I would not stay there, I would choose, I do not know any other way. I either do the job well and how the country needs it, I am not to stay as a decorum in the government, and I had made a decision, very convinced. The best profitable, economical project in Southeast Europe was considered the reconstruction of the power plant, Kosova-A, the economic effect. Energy has become a problem, it has been, even today it is a big problem, but then the idea of the Germans was subdued by the idea of the new Kosova power plant, by frauds, by Brussels. Apart from Angela Merkel, she did not deceive us, she pointed at us, why don't you do it," he said. Malushaj gives interesting details from a meeting with one of the German billionaire investors, when he and he were making plans for serious investments in the energy sector, years and years ago. "He saw me upset and immediately made the decision to close BapCop, the Bilfinger branch in Kosovo, I was sad, I was disappointed. Mr. Malushaj told me I am happy for your work, do not worry, we have a lot of work, we are great", he said. According to the official of the Chamber of Doing Business in Kosovo, Kosovo is very late for the development of energy capacities, a sector that according to him is obviously related to national security. Malushaj demands market liberalization and this, according to him, gives everyone a chance to invest in renewable energy without giving up the energy produced through lignite. Malushaj believes that Kosovo can become an energy exporter if the government has this readiness.
