The Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) has reacted to the Supreme Court’s decision declaring unlawful an order issued by the Acting Minister of Finance, Hekuran Murati, regarding fiscal cash registers.

In a Facebook post, LDK stated that it welcomes the Supreme Court’s decision, which confirms constitutional and legal violations committed by MPs who continue to hold executive positions after the certification of election results, reports KosovaPress.

"The Supreme Court clearly determined that ministers certified as MPs are acting in serious legal violation with every decision issued, having usurped and continuing to exercise their functions in an unlawful and arbitrary manner after the end of their mandate," the statement reads.

LDK announced that it has filed 17 criminal complaints against former ministers who continued in their work as acting ministers after being certified as MPs.

The Democratic League of Kosovo called on the State Prosecution to take immediate action, emphasizing that the Supreme Court’s decision has confirmed these unconstitutional and illegal actions.

"LDK calls on the State Prosecution to treat these serious constitutional and legal violations as a priority and to act without delay based on the criminal complaints filed by our MPs. The Supreme Court decision has now confirmed that we are dealing with unconstitutional and unlawful actions," the statement concludes.
