Kurti: Parallel structures have become more aggressive, the dialogue in a new phase
The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, stated that the parallel structures in the north have become more aggressive after the Russian invasion of Ukraine. He said that these structures are financed by Belgrade are the cause of the problems of the Serbian population in the north. However, regarding the dialogue, the chief executive expressed optimism after saying that this process has entered a new phase, the same as he expressed optimism about the liberalization of visas.
Kurti made these statements at the 102nd
Rose-Roth Seminar of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, with the theme
"Euro-Atlantic integration of the Western Balkans: prolonged challenges,
new realities and future perspectives".
In this seminar, the Prime Minister of
Kosovo expressed the ambition to increase military spending to 2% of the Gross
Domestic Product in the next three years. He said that we want to build an army
worthy of NATO, while he called on all member countries to help Kosovo in this
direction and to accept Kosovo in the Partnership for Peace program.
