The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, has said that if Serbia had felt responsibility for the genocide in Kosovo, it would have recognized Kosovo's independence as early as in 2008.

In his speech, at the solemn session of the Assembly, on the occasion of the 16th anniversary of Kosovo's Independence, Kurti emphasized that instead of signing the Basic Agreement for the normalization of relations with Kosovo, Serbia represented terrorism by carrying out military aggression on September 24 of 2023 in Banjska.

He also mentioned the passivation of addresses of Albanians in the Presheva Valley.

In front of the MPs, and ambassadors accredited to Kosovo, he accused Serbia of following the path of confrontation and blockade with Kosovo.

In addition, Kurti emphasized that Kosovo remains committed to membership in the European Union and NATO. /KosovaPress/
