The Kosovo Olympic Committee (KOC) today continued the tradition of marking the World Day of Sports and the Environment, where among those present were the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti and the chairman of the KOC, Ismet Krasniqi.

World Sports and Environment Day was marked with the planting of the Olympic Tree, which this time was planted in the yard of the Government of Kosovo, reports KosovaPress.

Kurti said that the planting of the Olympic Tree was done on the eve of the Olympic Games, where five judokas and a boxer will represent Kosovo, whom he wished success.

Furthermore, Kurti expressed gratitude that the Olympic Tree is now also in the yard of the Government of Kosovo.

On the other hand, the president of the KOC, Ismet Krasniqi, said that although symbolic, the Olympic Tree has a great significance.

The Olympic tree was planted in the yard of the Government of Kosovo for the World Day of Sports and Environment, which was also marked with sports activities in the premises of the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports in Prishtina. The tree was planted by Prime Minister Kurti and the president of KOC, Ismet Krasniqi. /A.Arifi/
