Prime Minister Albin Kurti said that relations with the United States are excellent, while emphasizing that there will be cooperation with the president-elect, Donald Trump, as he said, through state institutions “rather than with companies or intermediaries”.
In an interview with KosovaPress, Kurti said that he sees no “difficulties for excellent relations with the United States of America”.

“In relation to the United States of America, we have excellent relations that are not only in the field of diplomacy, they are also in the field of defense and development. In the field of defense, we are making more and more purchases from the United States of America, and we have such plans for the future, of armaments, we are conducting training together with them, we are preparing for ‘Defender Europe 25’, where we will also be hosts, not just participants. Meanwhile, in the field of development, especially with USAID, and we have the compact program of 236.7 million dollars that transforms us into the country with the largest number of renewable energy storage batteries per capita in the world. Meanwhile, with President Trump, we will cooperate, we will communicate, our communications are carried out officially between state institutions, rather than with companies or intermediaries. We have the embassy of the Republic of Kosovo, we have our ambassador Ilir Dugolli who works day and night with the institutions of the American state," said Kurti.
