Kurti hopes and wishes for a second candidate for the presidency
The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, said that he hopes and wishes there will be a second candidate for the presidency, reports KosovaPress.
Today is the constitutional deadline for electing the president.
In a statement to the media after the ceremonial meeting of the Government of Kosovo dedicated to the Epic of the KLA, Kurti said that efforts to elect the head of state will continue this afternoon.
“We have just concluded the government meeting dedicated to the Epic of the KLA. Now we also have a ceremonial session for the Epic of the KLA, followed by the parade of the Kosovo Security Force, and this afternoon we must continue our efforts to elect the president. We hope, believe, and wish for a second candidate so that we can fulfill the constitutional requirement for a contest,” he said.
