The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, has said that healthcare and strengthening the army have been a special focus in his four-year mandate.
In his address before the government meeting on Friday, Kurti said that Kosovo needs a healthcare system that is at the service of the citizen and doctors who work with devotion and dedication.
For this reason, he said that they will allocate 2.3 million euros for the payment of 244 specialists in the period January 1-December 31, 2025.

“In this mandate, healthcare, especially doctors as a noble profession, have been the focus of our policies. We need a healthcare system that is at the service of the citizen, and doctors who work with devotion and dedication. We are continuing our unreserved support by reviewing the request for payment of 224 self-funded specialists, worth 2.3 million euros, for the period January 1-December 31 of this year. Our doctors are compatriots from the Presheva Valley and Montenegro. For the Valley, increasing the budget by 1 million euros year after year is not enough, but we are taking care to support different categories and professions according to possibilities and needs,” said Kurti.

In addition, he said that the army is being increased and strengthened every day, by providing conditions, budget and weapons. He said that from now on, the KSF will use an area of 100 hectares in Batllava, Podujevo.
