The Kurti government continues to oppose the Balkan minishengen. The executive says they are in favor of regional cooperation, but only on the basis of equality and non-substitution of the EU project. But support for minishengen is being sought by northern Macedonia, which sees the initiative as profitable for the entire region. Whereas, international relations experts say minishengen is not a priority issue for the country. The spokesman of the Government of Kosovo, Përparim Kryeziu, opposing this initiative, says for KosovaPress that the issue of the Balkan minishengen has never been a topic in the executive. He also justifies the approval of two initiatives by the Kurti Government, for the signing of international agreements that will facilitate the movement of citizens within the Western Balkans region.
