The Prime Minister of Kosovo Albin Kurti was received by the Federal Councilor of Switzerland and the Head of the Federal Department of Economic Affairs, Education and Research, Guy Parmelin.

The Prime Minister expressed his gratitude for Switzerland's continuous support and emphasized the importance of further deepening the relations between the two countries.

Kurti added that economic and trade cooperation is increasing every year, while the overall level of foreign direct investment from Switzerland to Kosovo in the last four years has increased by about 170%.

Meanwhile, he also underlined the increase in exports from Kosovo to Switzerland, where in the same period of time, according to him, exports have almost doubled and include a variety of products such as metals, mineral products, food, plastic, rubber, machinery, equipment, electrical materials and textiles.

"At the meeting, the fact that Kosovo has reached Free Trade Agreements with the member countries of EFTA, of which Switzerland is also a part, was emphasized. Kosovo is the only country in the region that, in addition to negotiating for trade in goods, has also negotiated for trade in services with the EFTA countries, thus increasing the corpus of opportunities for exchanges and cooperation", reads the announcement.
