Kurti congratulates the new British Prime Minister: You have our support, we are waiting for you in Kosovo
Prime Minister Albin Kurti has sent a congratulatory letter to Liz Truss, on the occasion of her election as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom.
"Our continent faces numerous
challenges that require a coordinated response and I feel relieved by the clear
vision that you emphasized in our two meetings at the beginning of this
year," Prime Minister Kurti wrote.
Kurti added that as we face the
consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic, the energy crisis and the rising cost of
living, along with Russia's growing authoritarianism and unprovoked aggression
against Ukraine, we look forward to your leadership to help Europe and the rest
of the world to navigate through these difficult times.
"Please be sure that, as you do this,
you can rely on the partnership, cooperation and solidarity of Kosovo",
the prime minister further wrote.
He has expressed the gratitude of the
Republic of Kosovo for the support of the United Kingdom in our liberation
struggle against a genocidal regime.
