Kurti commemorates the life and work of commander Ilaz Kodra
In the solemn session of the Assembly of Kosovo in honor of the fall of the KLA commander, Ilaz Kodra, and the 315 martyrs who fell on April 30, 1999 in Drenica, Prime Minister Albin Kurti commemorated his life and work.
Kurti said that special sessions like this one outside the normal work and progress of the Assembly of Kosovo refresh the spirit that created the republic, that are the martyrs of the nation and the martyrs of the freedom of Kosovo.
Kurti also described the commitment of Ilaz Kodra, saying that he became politically active in his early youth by participating in popular protests against the oppression and discrimination of Albanians by the Serbian regime.
Commemorating the work of Ilaz Kodra, Kurti expressed pride saying that he was killed by Serbian forces while fighting.
