Kurti and Stoltenberg discuss the security situation in Kosovo

The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, has started the second day of his official visit to Brussels. He was received today by NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg. According to the announcement issued by the Office of the Prime Minister, it is announced that the current security situation in Kosovo was discussed at the meeting. The Prime Minister expressed gratitude for the historic role of NATO in Kosovo, and stressed that the NATO presence is of particular importance for strengthening peace and stability in the country and the region. He confirmed the goal and open aspiration of Kosovo for NATO integration and membership, which would contribute to the security of the region and Europe, while thanking Secretary Stoltenberg for the assistance and cooperation of KFOR with the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo in managing and responding to the COVID-19 pandemic.
