The Government of Kosovo has decided to pay more than 21 million euros in compensation to the American company "Contour Global", after the loss in the International Arbitration Court last year.

Prime Minister Albin Kurti said that this contract should not have been signed at all in 2017, as the consequences have been foreseen since then. Despite all the consequences, according to him, it is much better that this project was not realized.

Meanwhile, the Minister of Finance, Labor and Transfers, Hekuran Murati, said that the agreement between Kosovo and "Contour Global" was signed in December 2017 by the former Haradinaj Government; despite warnings that such an agreement should not be signed.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Albin Kurti added that "What we won in the arbitration is almost seven times what should be paid.

This American company had taken Kosovo to arbitration in 2020 regarding the "New Kosova" Thermal Power Plant project.
