On Sunday, June 7, 1,959,962 eligible voters will have the opportunity to cast their ballots in Kosovo's extraordinary parliamentary elections, marking the fifth electoral process in less than a year and a half.

Kosovo citizens will head to the polls to elect the 11th legislature and the new government. Voting will take place in 949 polling centers with a total of 2,550 polling stations.

Regular voting will be available at 2,498 polling stations located in 911 polling centers, while conditional voting will be organized at 52 polling stations in 38 polling centers, one in each municipality.

According to data from the Central Election Commission (CEC), 1,959,962 voters are eligible to vote within Kosovo. This figure does not include the 132,212 Kosovo citizens who registered to vote from abroad by mail or at diplomatic missions.

A total of 21 political entities with 902 candidates are competing for seats in the 11th legislature of the Assembly of Kosovo. Of these, six Albanian political entities with 465 candidates are competing for 100 seats, while the remaining entities represent minority communities competing for 20 guaranteed seats. Of the total number of candidates, 593 are men and 309 are women.

The spokesperson for the Central Election Commission, Valmir Elezi, said that to ensure the proper administration of the electoral process, the CEC will activate its operations room on election day. The operations room will function with the participation of CEC officials,  the State Prosecutor’s Office, and the Kosovo Police.
