Kosovo to establish a new consulate in the USA, decree signed (Document)
The Acting President of the Republic of Kosovo, Albulena Haxhiu, has issued a decree establishing the Consular Mission of the Republic of Kosovo in the state of Texas, United States of America, with headquarters in Houston.
KosovaPress learns that this mission will operate at the level of a Consulate General and aims to strengthen Kosovo’s diplomatic presence in the United States, as well as provide consular services to the Kosovar diaspora in Texas.
The decision states that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora is obliged to undertake all necessary actions for the implementation of this decree.
The decree entered into force on the date of its signing, May 4, 2026, while the request from the Ministry was submitted on April 28.
