Kosovo signs cooperation agreement with EUROPOL

Kosovo and the European Union Intelligence Agency, EUROPOL, signed a cooperation agreement on Monday, in order to fight serious crime. With the signing of this agreement, it was said that Kosovo's capacities in fighting crime will be advanced and strengthened. The Kosovo Police as of today has reached 94 police cooperation agreements that are an assessment of the implementation of the highest international standards of personal data. The Minister of Internal Affairs, Agim Veliu, who signed this agreement, said that with this agreement, the Kosovo Police is being offered equal treatment with the police of the region, adding that Kosovo has been handicapped by the lack of information in real time, in order to prevent crime from happening.
