Kosovo Police seize drugs worth 300,000 euros

The Kosovo Police have arrested a person in Prizren and seized drugs worth 300,000 euros. The arrested individual, according to the Police, is suspected of involvement in criminal activities related to narcotic substances.

The person, identified by the initials H.K. – a Kosovo citizen, was arrested on August 11 on "Viljam Voker" street in Prizren.

“During a search conducted at two locations with the order of the competent prosecutor, in one of the locations, the following were found and seized as material evidence: suspected narcotic substance of the cocaine type, with a total weight of 4 kg 440 grams; two electronic scales; cash amounting to 260 euros; a vacuum sealing device for plastic bags; a PIAGGIO VESPA motorcycle; an iPhone 15 Pro Max mobile phone; a scalpel; a considerable quantity of plastic bags for packaging,” the Police statement reads.

According to estimates, the seized amount of narcotic substance on the illegal market could reach a value of up to three hundred thousand euros.

“The suspect was taken to the Police, where he was interviewed in the presence of a lawyer appointed ex officio. After the interview, by decision of the state prosecutor, he was detained for 48 hours. Investigations related to this case are ongoing by the Anti-Drug Unit in Prizren in coordination with the Basic Prosecutor’s Office in Prizren,” the Police informed./KosovaPress
