Kosovo Police seeks cooperation with the Belgian Police

The General Director of the Kosovo Police, Colonel Gazmend Hoxha, together with his associates, met today with the Belgian Minister of Justice, Annelies Verlinden, and the Minister of Migration and Asylum, Anneleen Van Bossuyt.

During the meeting, Director Hoxha informed the guests about the organizational structure of the Kosovo Police, its achievements in combating crime and maintaining public order and safety, as well as the challenges the Police have faced in recent years.

According to the Police announcement, the discussion also focused on international police cooperation, highlighting the need to formalize a memorandum of understanding between the two police forces. This agreement would cover key areas such as the fight against organized crime, smuggling, human trafficking, illegal migration, and cybercrime.

The meeting concluded with a mutual commitment to deepen and advance cooperation in order to strengthen security and combat various forms of criminal activity affecting both countries.
