The Minister of Defense, Armend Zemaj during his official visit to the United States, met with the Deputy Secretary of the Department of Defense, Colin Kahl, who in terms of advancing the permanent partnership, on behalf of the Government of the Republic of Kosovo, offered the opportunity to the establishment of a permanent US military base in Kosovo, assessing that it would contribute to regional peace and stability in the Balkans. The Minister of Defense, Armend Mehaj, informed the Deputy Secretary Kahl, with the work of the Ministry of Defense and the KSF, underlining Kosovo's commitment to contribute to security issues at the regional and global level, with special emphasis on addressing the regional challenges in the new global geopolitical security environment.
