The use of the Serbian dinar in the north but also in other parts of the country, is causing millions of euros damage to the state budget of Kosovo, because the sales made through this currency are not declared to the Tax Administration of Kosovo (TAK).

Although the Constitution of Kosovo defines the euro as the official currency, experts assess the use of the Serbian dinar as very harmful in economic terms and is unconstitutional and illegal.
