The Agency for Information and Privacy has launched a platform for identifying personal data leaks. On the International Day for Personal Data Protection, it was said that this platform ensures that institutions are better prepared to secure personal data, their leaks and protection from possible cyber attacks.

The Commissioner of the Information and Privacy Agency, Krenare Sogojeva, said that this project represents an additional advancement for law enforcement and strengthening mechanisms for additional controls.  “The platform that we will present, supported by the US Embassy in Kosovo, represents an additional advancement in our commitment to guarantee the effective implementation of the Law on the Protection of Personal Data, as well as the strengthening of control mechanisms that aim to ensure the monitoring of the unauthorized publication of personal data of our citizens. Despite all our joint efforts and commitment, the need to strengthen and advance the protection of personal data in Kosovo continues to remain our priority, ensuring the implementation of the law and raising awareness of public and private controllers about the actions they should take in relation to the protection of personal data”, said Sogojeva
