The Committee for Economy, Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade has approved the Draft Law for the ratification of the international agreement for the participation of Kosovo in the European Union program "Digital Europe for the period 2021-2027" between Kosovo and the European Union.

The Minister of Economy, Artane Rizvanolli, said that this program will help digital transformation and increase the use of digital technologies for businesses and citizens in Kosovo.

However, the chairman of the committee, the PDK MP, Ferat Shala, asked the minister whether the participation in this program will be affected by the punitive measures that Kosovo has from the European Union.

However, Minister Rizvanolli said that the same was signed within the period that the punitive measures were imposed on Kosovo and that she does not expect it to have an impact on the applications in this program.

The Committee also decided that this agreement will be proposed to the plenary session tomorrow for approval in the first reading. /KosovaPress/
