The energy crisis at the global level and other factors are warnings that Kosovo may face a more difficult winter due to the lack of electricity. However, a good opportunity to overcome this crisis more easily is the increase of capacities in renewable energy. Kosovo is one of the least prepared countries to face the energy crisis. Last winter, continuous reductions were applied. Meanwhile, experts in this sector criticized the government a few days ago for lack of preparations, and warned that the import of energy due to the price may be unbearable, but the requirements cannot be met. Meanwhile, the Office of the Energy Regulator, during the past week, has shown that the supplier of electricity has submitted an official request to this institution for the extraordinary review of electricity tariffs, since the Government of Kosovo has not implemented the subsidy, as promised at the beginning of the year.
