Kosovo Customs has seized 42 thousand liters of alcoholic beverages in a store in the Greater Hoca, Municipality of Rahovec, while it has caused damage to the budget in the amount of 38 thousand euros.

In the press release, it is announced that the store and the responsible person produced alcoholic beverages without authorization from the Kosovo Customs, this activity is unregistered and is not subject to sanitary and hygienic controls and poses a risk to the health of the consumer.

"Kosovo Customs informs the public that it has carried out a routine check at a store where alcoholic beverages are sold in the village of Greater Hoca (Rahovec). The officials have found that in addition to the store, the responsible person also operates the activity of producing alcoholic beverages without authorization from the Kosovo Customs, this action is contrary to the relevant norms of the Customs and Excise Code. The person also does not have the activity registered as a business in the Business Registration Agency and therefore does not comply with the reporting requirements of the relevant entity for the supervision of wine production. Yesterday, several media have cited posts with false claims of an official of the Government of Serbia for allegedly unilateral actions of the Kosovo Customs with the confiscation of alcoholic beverages, produced in an illegitimate manner", the communiqué states.
