Arrests in the north Mitrovica for interfering with the free determination of votes
The Kosovo Police has arrested five people for interfering with the free determination of voters.
Four female suspects from Kosovo were arrested in Zubin Potok because they are suspected of calling a person and asking him to vote for a certain political party, threatening to stop their social assistance if they did not comply.
This was reported by the Kosovo Police in their 24-hour report, adding that during a search at the Zubin Potok Social Work Center, several items were seized as material evidence.
"As material evidence, during the search of the Social Work Center in Zubin Potok, a mobile phone and lists with names and phone numbers of individuals suspected of being contacted for the same purpose were seized. In consultation with the prosecutor, after interviewing the suspects, they were placed in detention," the police statement reads.
Also, in the "Car Llazar" square in North Mitrovica, a person was arrested who had told another person that if they did not vote for a certain political party, they would have their daughter fired from work.
