Kosovo and Panama have abolished visa requirements for holders of diplomatic and official passports.

This agreement between the Republic of Kosovo and the Republic of Panama marks an important step in strengthening bilateral relations, the statement said, KosovaPress reports.

“The agreement was signed by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora of the Republic of Kosovo, Kreshnik Ahmeti, and the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Panama, Carlos A. Hoyos, in an official ceremony that reaffirmed both countries’ commitment to advancing cooperation and strengthening diplomatic ties.”

During the meeting, the parties also discussed initiating procedures to lift visa requirements for holders of regular passports, as well as expanding cooperation in areas of mutual interest, including security, higher education, and tourism.

It was also agreed that the next round of political consultations between the two ministries, at the deputy minister level, will be held in Pristina at the end of 2026.
