The acting government has decided to provide a one-off payment of 100 euros for children, pensioners, students, and private sector workers. This support for pensioners and children will be disbursed at the beginning of next week, while applications will be opened for students and private sector workers.

However, this financial assistance applies only to certain categories.

Private and public sector workers who are not paid from the state budget will not be eligible for the 100 euros if, in April, they had declared monthly income exceeding 1,000 euros.

Acting Finance Minister Hekuran Murati said that the one-off support for beneficiaries of personal schemes will be based on the May payroll list of this year, as well as for children who are beneficiaries of child allowance schemes.

Meanwhile, student support applies to those who are active and regularly enrolled in the 2025–2026 academic year.

“All one-time support for pension scheme beneficiaries will be based on the May payroll list of this year, as well as support for all children who are beneficiaries of child allowance schemes. For all employed persons declared in April with monthly income below 1,000 euros who are not on the state payroll, meaning the private sector and non-budget-funded public entities, including civil society organizations, public enterprises, and other organizations that do not receive salaries from the state budget. Also support for all active and regularly enrolled students in the 2025–26 academic year in higher education institutions in Kosovo who meet the criteria,” Murati said.

In addition, the acting government decided that starting from May, maternity allowances will increase from the current 325 euros to 500 euros. However, the government did not provide details on the total value of the entire package.
