The Speaker of the Assembly, Glauk Konjufca, received the new ambassador of France in Kosovo, Olivier Guérot, in a meeting, where he congratulated him on taking office.

Konjufca, as it was announced by the Assembly, thanked Ambassador Guérot for the support that France has offered to the Republic of Kosovo in all the processes of state building, development and the journey towards European integration.

In the announcement it is said that the Speaker of the Assembly said that we expect from France the support for the liberalization of visas for the citizens of Kosovo since all the required criteria have already been met. Konjufca also asked for support for membership in the Council of Europe, EU, NATO and other international organizations.

Konjufca and Guérot confirmed the commitment and readiness for further deepening of cooperation between the two countries in fields of common interest.
