Murders and massacres, blood, incurable wounds, unforgettable suffering and pain - this is the precious price of freedom we enjoy today. This is what the Speaker of the Assembly, Glauk Konjufca, said as he remembered the KLA martyrs.

"From March 24 to March 31, 1999, in just one week, the Serbian occupying forces killed and massacred more than 1,100 defenseless Albanian civilians in Kotlina of Kaqanik, Keqekolla and Matiqan of Prishtina, Podujeva, Gjakova, Celina, Bellacerrka and Pastasela of Rahovec, Randobrava and Landovica of Prizren, Krusha e Madhe and Krusha e Vogel, Llashtica of Gjilan, Burim of Malisheva, Mitrovica, Dumnica of Upper Vushtrri, Izbica of Skenderaj, Beleg of Deçani, Dardhishta of Obiliq, Pedalishta of Istog, Mamusha and Suhareka. The heavily armed Serbian army, police and paramilitaries surrounded, bombed, burned, and destroyed entire villages and towns throughout Kosovo. Murders and massacres, blood, incurable wounds, unforgettable suffering and pain - this is the precious price of freedom we enjoy today. But just as valuable as freedom is justice, so long lacking. Therefore, today and on every anniversary of glory, in addition to seeking justice, the memory and honor of the martyrs, heroes, and the heroic war of the Kosovo Liberation Army will be eternal. Eternal Glory!”, wrote Konjufca.
