KIJ: The current Rules of Procedure of the Assembly foresees problems in the legal aspect
Kosovo Institute of Justice (KIJ) has presented the analysis "New Rules of Procedure of the Assembly", which it has deemed necessary as it will address some problems related to the current functioning of the Assembly and irregularities in the current regulation. Senior researcher KIJ, Jeton Hasani, said that the current regulation includes some problems in legal terms.
He stressed that the new draft rules of procedure of the Assembly foresees financial sanctions for MPs who do not report absences from plenary sessions or committee meetings. He said that the new rules of procedure of the Assembly would establish a conference of chairpersons, which would consist of the Speaker of the Assembly and the chairpersons of all parliamentary groups, and would also add additional powers to the plenary session on procedural issues.
