Today will be held the opening ceremony of the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics, where Kosovo will be represented by two athletes, respectively skiers Albin Tahiri and Kiana Kryeziu. It was planned that during this ceremony the flag of Kosovo would be carried by Albin and Kiana, but the latter will not now not be allowed to participate, KosovaPress reports. Besides Kiana Kryeziu, the participation during this ceremony will not be allowed to the coach Agim Pupovci, as the latter has tested positive with Covid-19. According to the organizers, Kryeziu was considered as possible contact with other persons, for which she will not be allowed to participate in the ceremony, even though she is training and tested negative for Covid 19. KOC regrets that despite ongoing efforts to enable Kiana and Agim to participate, this was not possible.
